People need to be able to see their doctor when they need too. What is the purpose of having a Primary Care if you can’t see them when you are sick or when you need them? And why should you have to leave work, or find someone to watch the kids–or worse, have to drag the kids with you–just to get treated for urinary infection? Why not send a picture of that rash and ask if you should come in? At Evolve, that is all not only possible, it is encouraged!
3. Convenience
Weekend and evening hours. Text, email, phone or telemedicine. Everyone is busy. Real people have work, errands, families…everyone has a million things going on. Evolve believes that part of staying healthy is less stress. “The real benefit of the practice, however, came a month or so after I joined. I had fallen off my boat (it happens) and hurt my foot.
The next morning I hobbled into the office without an appointment, expecting to sit and wait for hours. I was seen within 20 minutes, and as soon as Doctor Freedman looked at my foot, he pulled out all the stops.
Within 2 hours, I had x-rays taken, and was walking in the door of the best ankle/foot doctor in the Annapolis area. After one look at the x-rays, he set my up for surgical procedures the next day. I was out of the operating room, and in recovery less than 40 hours after the injury occurred.
The injury I had, called a Lisfranc fracture, often has very bad outcomes, primarily because of missed diagnosis or deferred surgery. I am now 10 weeks out from the process and recovering nicely. The whole process of my health care was absolutely amazing.”
